Combined Sewer Overflows in Ottawa

Do you know what’s in Ottawa’s water?

Due to an overflow in precipitation from late March weather, sewage from outdated sewer systems have spilled into the Ottawa River. Here’s a look at why this happens and what the city is planning to do to fix it.

Losing the U-Pass in Ottawa

After enjoying Ottawa’s first year with a U-Pass, students faced the threat of losing it during some complicated bylaw confusion in February.

I talked to representatives from the Carleton University Students Association and the city of Ottawa as well as students from both the University of Ottawa and Carleton University in this TV news piece that aired in February.

Choose to Move PSA

Choose to Move is a public service announcement my television reporting group created in early January, 2011. The ladies featured in the video are our teammates: the jogger is Lauren Mitsuki, the cyclist is Marissa Decina, and the third character is yours truly.

“Choose to Move” is a campaign we created based on statistics about the small number of Canadians getting the recommended amount of exercise.
